What is PinnacleShare?

It's a free-of-charge video sharing site for amateur movie makers, from beginners to experts.


Private and public viewing

PinnacleShare offers two kind of viewing: Private and Public.

Only the people you invite can view your private videos.
Any visitor to PinnacleShare can watch videos available to the public.

The newest, most viewed and top rated Public titles are shown on the home page.

Use the search tool to find videos by keywords, tags, category, country or date.

How do I upload video?

Start by creating an account. It's easy and open to all.

Next, select the video you want to upload from your computer's hard drive and fill in the attributes: title, description, category, etc.

You can upload video on your hard drive or video created using any video editing software whether on a PC or Mac.

If you already have video editing software, you can choose to upload finalised video in a variety of formats. (30MB max)
Allowed Video formats avi, dv, mov, qt, mpeg, mpg, mp4, 3gp, asf, wmv, .flv.
Allowed audio formats are mp3, wav, wma.
Allowed photo formats are jpg, gif, png.

If you don't have video editing software, you can upload your video and edit it online using the Pinnacle Studio Online Editor, a free service from PinnacleShare.
File size restricted to 2 minutes or 30MB or less. We recommend uploading non-finalised video in MPEG-4 or DivX format.

Private viewing: you choose who views


PinnacleShare gives you easy and total control of who views your videos.

When you upload a video, you can elect to make it "public" or "private".

Public videos can be seen by any PinnacleShare visitor. Private videos are restricted to the people you choose. When you add a name to your address book, you can pick which videos that person can see.

In addition to making a video private when upload it, you can make a previously uploaded video private by clicking on the padlock icon.


But I don't own video editing software

Not a problem. With Pinnacle Studio Online Editor, you can edit your video using your web browser—no software to download. Just upload your videos, photos and music and start editing. It's quick and easy.

Features include adding titles, background music and transitions or trimming your video.

See your friends' videos

who invite you to see their private videos are automatically included in your list of friends. Click on their name to see their latest videos.

Stay organised with tags
Tags make it easy for visitors to find videos. Think of them as keywords or categories. You assign them to your video when you upload it -- and you can change them later if you want.
